2019 Year in Review
We kicked things off by joining events across the country to celebrate National Trails Day. Our annual 5K Run/Walk was a great way to start off our event season.
We were excited for the placement of the Kitselman Bridge over the White River. This piece of history will connect the Cardinal and White River Greenways once completed.

Bike Fest brought a weekend full of riding with everything from a BMX stunt show to the Great Greenway Tour to criterium races.
Walk Indiana saw a change in format with point to point routes starting at different spots with everyone finishing at the Muncie Depot.
Our largest event of the year saw almost five hundred runners and walkers start their Thanksgiving Day off with our Annual Turkey Trot.
We wrapped up the year with what else, Santa! Hundreds of kids got a special treat during Christmas at the Depot.
Thanks to everyone who came out for any of these great community events and supported the Greenway. Stay tuned for our 2020 event schedule!
Volunteer With the Greenway
We’re always looking for help taking care of the 62 miles of the Cardinal Greenway. Volunteering is a great way to give back and support the trail. We have a variety of roles available depending on your interest and availability like helping with events, maintenance and adopting trailheads. This is also an excellent way for your church, school or business group to perform service hours and support this community resource. You can find more information and sign up to volunteer here.
