Because of work INDOT will be doing the Greenway will be closed between Thornburg Rd. and Weaver Rd. starting Monday, July 6. This is at the northern end of the Wayne County portion of the trail. The project will take approximately one month and the Greenway will be reopened once they’re done. There are signs marking a detour using Thornburg and Weaver roads to get around this closure, the detour will be approximately 1.75 miles, the same distance of the trail section. Traveling north you’ll head north/right on Thornburg Rd. to Weaver Rd where you’ll head west/left till Weaver rejoins the Greenway. Traveling south you’ll take a left onto Weaver Rd. to Thornburg and take a right and rejoin the Greenway. It will involve crossing Rt. 1 so please use caution when doing so.
