Equestrian Trail

Prairie Creek Horse Trail

The Prairie Creek Horse Trail is a 2.5 linear trail on the west side of Prairie Creek Reservoir, with a trail head at the Indian Hill area on the county road, CR 475 East. The trail head has a large gravel lot with ample parking for trailers of any size. There are hitching rails and mounting blocks, but no water or toilet facilities. Overnight camping is available for horse trailers with self-contained toilets.

When you reach the end of the trail, you can return to the trail head or proceed to the Cardinal Greenways Horse Trail. A 300-yard road crossing takes riders to the Red Tail Conservancy area. After crossing the asphalt trail, riders may go north or south on the Cardinal Greenways horse trail.
