Part of a National Trail
Did you know Cardinal Greenway is part of the American Discovery Trail, which spans from coast to coast across the USA? The America Discovery Trail is “America’s longest non-motorized trail at 6,800 miles and uniquely ties wilderness to cities, mountains to prairies, deserts to oceans, and community to community.”
What an amazing trail! If you’d like more information about the trail or a free American Discovery Trail sticker, stop by the depot. This awesome trail might need to be on your bucket list.
Volunteers Make a Difference in 2016
Blood, Sweat and Cheers!
Cardinal Greenways’ volunteers are doing an outstanding job this trail season, making our trails even more beautiful and safe. Assistant Maintenance Director Steve Abshire sends a huge shout out to his team of faithful, talented helpers.
If you would like to be a Cardinal Greenways’ volunteer, stop by our headquarters at the Historic Wysor St. Depot or fill out our online Volunteer Sign Up form. You’ll love being a part of Cardinal Greenways!
“You Can Ring my Bell, Ring my Bell”
According to state code in Indiana “A person may not ride a bicycle unless the bicycle is equipped with a bell or other device capable of giving a signal audible for a distance of at least 100 feet.” All of our free cruisers available at the Historic Wysor St. Depot have bells on them thanks to Kirk’s Bike Shop. Kirk’s continues to maintain our cruisers year after year. We greatly appreciate their generosity. Because of Kirk’s Bike Shop our cruisers keep rolling…and ringing.
